Reaching people planning the MCT
Most people arrive at MichinokuTrail.com because they’re already planning or seriously considering a trip along the trail. They’re choosing where to walk, looking for accommodation, figuring out transport, comparing tours and trying to turn a very long trail into a trip that actually works. It’s a pretty specific audience, but that’s also the point.

Running trips on the MCT?
Some hikers want to organise everything themselves. Others would much rather have someone take care of accommodation, luggage transfers, transport, guiding or the whole trip. MichinokuTrail.com reaches people while they’re making those decisions. Partnerships can include featured visibility on the Tours & Experiences guide, inclusion across relevant planning content, longer-term partnerships and affiliate or commission arrangements. I don’t have a one-size-fits-all package. If you’re already offering MCT trips, or developing something new, get in touch and we can see what makes sense.

I’ve been walking the MCT since 2017, and over the years I’ve spent a lot of time seeing where planning gets confusing, what information is missing in English and which places visitors might otherwise pass straight through.
I work with tourism organisations, destinations and local partners on things like:
English-language trail content · Routes & itineraries · Destination features · International hiker insight
The aim is simple: help people have a better trip, explore more and spend more time in the communities along the coast.

Built from the trail
I started walking the Michinoku Coastal Trail in 2017 and have now covered more than 2,000 km, including a full thru-hike. MichinokuTrail.com grew out of the questions people kept asking about accommodation, transport, route choices, food, camping and all the other things that can be surprisingly difficult to figure out from overseas. So I started putting the answers in one place. It’s still basically the guide I wish I’d had when I started.
